I can't thank this place enough. The program material changed my life and taught me to retrain myself and use the life skills they provided to help me begin the journey to become the best I can be!! I owe them my life, I will be eternally grateful for this ray of hope in my once dark world.
So much positive change can happen in such a short period of time if you're willing!
I got needed help and much needed support. Sometimes felt I was treated more like a child than an almost 50yo. If you can handle that then I’d recommend Orchid.
I am so grateful to have discovered The Orchid on the internet back in September of 2013! I was in desperate need of help and The Orchid gave me the strength and support to start a new life! Oct. 1 2013 I walked through their doors and now I have 4&1/2 years of sobriety. “The place where women heal” couldn’t be more accurate! So when recently a family member needed to heal, I got in touch with Mindy a therapist at the time I went there and now is the clinical director and she went above and beyond helping us out. I would also like to thank Nick in admissions of Palm Partners for his generous time and help too! If you’re a woman in need of healing, recovery and hope I whole heartedly recommend The Orchid! It works if you work it!
On August 8, 2012 I was pushed into making the hardest and best choice I've ever made. At 22 years old, my parents gave me an ultimatum after another one of my (many) benders that landed me hospitalized. It was either get help, or get out. I arrived at the Orchid confused, scared, and feeling totally alone. It was there I learned how to reintegrate back into real life without drinking. I learned how to be honest. I learned how important it is to feel every emotion authentically rather than finding every chemical to mask it temporarily. It was five years ago that I was given an opportunity to get help and I took it. Today, I define my recovery as a daily effort to live in line with who I genuinely am. I look for ways every day to enhance my own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. I learned these principles at the Orchid. It was up to me to apply them to my life. Today, I am a licensed associate counselor in New Jersey. And I recently passed my independent clinical drug and alcohol counseling licensing exam (yay) to become a LCADC (licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor). I also went down to a conference in Florida, and I had the pleasure of randomly running into Mindy (out of thousands of people there), who was a counselor when I was there who really motivated me. It was amazing to see her as a clinician rather than a client. It was an amazing moment to see her, God works in incredible ways. At this point in my life and my recovery, I strive to help those who struggle with the disease of addiction. I hope to help people see the smallest spark of hope in their darkness. The power of a spark is immeasurable. The Orchid was my spark, and I wouldn't be where I am today without them. I am so beyond grateful to the Orchid for being the foundational roots of the life I lead today. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The Orchid literally saved my life. The program, staff, counseling and holistic services are exactly what I needed to recover. I've learned how to love myself again, use healthy coping skills when triggered and the right tools and services to use after my time at The Orchid. I gained an amazing group of sober sisters and staff that I will stay in touch with the rest of my life.
My experience at the orchid has been amazing. It has taught me things about myself that i have been wondering for a long time, and also helped me to work on those things. I'm thankful for the time i had here to work on myself and have hopes for a bright future.
GREATEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. The women; the techs, therapists and other clients gave me hope and helped me to blossom into the woman I knew I always was. Very dedicated, honest, and throurough treatment program for alcohol/drug abuse. Not only were they able to love me before I could love myself, but they gave me insight to what a sober and happy life is!!! I am coming up on 11 months sober and I give so much credit to this treatment center, they showed me the door and all I had to do was open it. I can't thank this place enough. I recommend Orchid to any woman that wants to not only be free from adiction, but be willing to make a commitment and have a purpose as these women have, to help the next suffering addict. We stay sober one day at a time through the **steps we take to be women of integrity and dignity. I love my life today and wouldn't have it any other way. THANK YOU ORCHID!!!!
This has been a life saving program.....incredible and amazing staff who care....thank you Damn Gina, Cindy, Gloria, Betsy, Sonya, Joann, Steph, Olga, Edkota, and estasha...and to everyone else that i didn't name personally...u know who you are....
melanie is a fantastic tech that really cares about her clients. cindy and gloria are also very great. my therapist, tiffany was fantastic and helped me so much.
Orchid addresses the underlying conditions which cause individuals to want to change the way they feel. They do not offer a band-aid approach; they offer a solution. The campus is adequate but somewhat small. Orchid saved my life. I have been sober for four years, and that would not have been possible if not for the services and support offered.
Drug addiction is a very bad habit. A couple of years ago it effects me. I got seriously affected by drugs. I took sleeping peel several times a days thus causes serious mental depression. But before it got worse my father took me here and i could explore that like me many other women are believing to see the light of happiness with a normal life. I got inspiration from there and started hoping that it would be me who could dream about it. And now i'm completely alright and having a normal life. thanks to orchid.
There are no words to explain how they truly saved my life, they taught me to trust myself and others. It helped give me the tools I needed. They set me up with AA meetings, Na meetings and other supports. I now have 23 months sober!
We sent our daughter here last year and she is clean and sober 1-year later. The staff at Orchid Recovery Center went above & beyond the expectations to care for our loved one. Thank you for all of the great work that you do.
